    Windows 8 Apps Can be Remotely Removed by Microsoft


    Get your tinfoil hats on, folks. In the documentation released earlier this week by Microsoft on its upcoming Windows 8 Store, the software giant said that apps purchased from the App Store will come with a “kill switch.” Redmond can use this to disable or remove the app from Windows 8 machines. Even if its intentions are good, users are likely to be suspicious of Microsoft on this one.

I've had a hp pavilion notebook g6 for a year with windows 8 and recently it kept freezing after login so I refreshed my laptop but it ran out of charge 12% through and now whenever I run my laptop it asks for me to install an operating system and I didn't realise the importance of the sticker...
Each time I try to install a new app from the Windows Store I get the following error: ERROR CODE 0x80070422. What do I need to do to to fix this problem. Thanks for any and all help. cryptokid
Apps removed in Software and Apps
Just thought I would mention this. I uninstalled all the Microsoft Apps. I freed-up 4.5 GBs by doing so. I never used them anyway. I ran sfc /scannow & DISM afterwards & sfc again after rebooting.

Just removed windows 8 in General Support
After running windows 8 RP sice it's released, I had to dump it. Not sure what went wrong, tried moving files to an external drive just to discover only 3 out of 25 were moved, the rest are gone. Tried to move files between internal drive, same thing, so disappear, only a couple actually moved....
