I don't think that Windows-8 will be at Rank-1 anytime soon, but they slowly gain some market-share. It's hard to beat Samsung / Android at the moment, but I'm quite happy to see iOS slowly loosing a bit of the market.

The new iPhone 5c may be a huge hit.. it's lower cost and bright colors will appeal to the raccoons in all of us.

And android phones sales don't mean what we think they do. All too often carriers offer BOGO's.. and the second phone is unused. Or, they're so cheap that people just upgrade like crazy, whereas the iphones are 2+ year upgrade cycles.

Oh, I just realized those are tablet sales.. Even so, remember that all those ebook readers are android based, but they aren't really truly android tablets in the traditional sense.. they're more limited versions... people tend to still get a regular tablet.

I don't see how the 5c will be a huge hit, it's supposed to be their budge iPhone and sells for $99 on contract. Windows phone is gaining traction in international markets with their budget phones that sell off contract from $100-150.

The other thing about Android tablets is that there are literally tons of cheapo android tablets being produced. People buy these, thinking it's the same thing as an iPad or even a higher end Android tablet, and they find that they're underpowered, and without the Play store almost useless because they can't get any apps for them.

So, have you ever worked on a Chromebook? Which one do you have experience with?
