Microsoft pushes out fixes for Windows 8.1 Preview

Glad to see the fixes coming, hope RTM can be September/October.

So far I like the changes that have been made.

Windows 8.1

Hi Brink, When do you think they will start the updates to Windows 8 to change to 8.1
I can't wait for the improvements on an already excellent OS - well in my opinion at least.
Thanks.
Yorky.

MS said the 8.1 RTM will be in Aug but no date. That is when the OEM's get it but no word yet on when the updates will be available.

The way I see it there are 3 releases for 8.1.

1) RTM release to OEM so they can start getting their new products ready.
Late August per MS
2) RTM update through MS Store for Windows 8 users.
Probably late August also - Takes a few days to update their servers.
3) RTM available for purchase in retail outlets.
Probably Oct since they have to press all those disc, and ship them to the stores and it has to be RTM before this starts.
4) ISO download for clean installs
Have no idea.

Just my thoughts and time will tell.
