$100 more is not an object as it comes with Kinect 2.0. The integration with everything MS is an easy choice for me.
The $100 to me isn't the end of the world either.

But potentially having to have it connected to the Internet, at least once every 24 hours to play even a single player game might be. I've had outages with PC versions of Battlefield 3 and Diablo 3 due to Internet problems. It sucks when you cannot play a single player local game because of an internet outage, or in my case, an inability from my cable model to get to the servers for Diablo III and Battlefield 3.

And I'm still waiting to see what happens first hand with the used games and rental games and such.

I'm hoping this turns out to be a good console because I've definitely gotten my monies worth out of my Xbox360.

Personally, I wouldn't even consider purchasing one after reading about the restrictive practices employed by MS..

Anyway, the PC is the best gaming machine around, by several warp-factors.

Always has been, and will continue to be for a long time.

Even longer if this sort of BS is the 'future' of console-gaming.

Yep. Restrictive practices rule it out for me. I wouldn't take it if they were giving it away.

If MS want to attack Google for being manipulative - then MS have to walk the walk. That applies across the board.

Not sure how many understand what is going or how dangerous it is.

Yahoo have given up even bothering to disguise it. They come right out and tell users to sell their soul to the devil.

Directly in their mail sign up page:

Yahoo!s automated systems scan and analyse all email, IM, and other communications content.
    Astonishing.

While I agree that PC gaming is better, for many reasons it's not ideal for me. #1 it's costly #2 it's a constant driver update fest #3 My PC is big and bulky #4 It has to be maintained and protected from viruses/malware/etc.

I game on the PC and probably always will. But my PC is downstairs in my basement, to game there walls me off from my family. I guess I just like the simplicity of popping in a new game, not having to worry if my system can handle it, and playing in the living room and being able to talk to my wife and kids or hear my kids when they are outside playing.

Yes, MS seems to have surpassed even Apple with these X-Bocks Restrictions. I would only want an X-Bloghx for the challenge of defeating the foog out of those restrictions.

Well, I would prefer to use the PC for Gaming but for one thing - It is not a deadizombiecated Gaming Machine, unless it has nothing on it but STEAM.

My Complaints against using a PC to play Mechwarrior 2, Quakes 2 through 3, Doom 3 and Unreal Tournament are the fact that the machines cannot keep up with the CODE those games were written in- I would WANT a dedicated gaming console for that.

But I HATE Gaming Consoles, because I use a JOYSTICK! a 3-Axis Joystick with forced Feedback. I loathe and Despise ALL portable game controllers, I use Joystick and Keyboard!

If your pc cannot keep up with games you need a new pc bud.

Saying that a console will be better is just plain wrong. It's a weak sister to a pc and always will be.

I used to be all keyboard and mouse, but have gotten alright with the controller. For my racing games, I actually prefer the controller over my steering wheels.

Doom 3 created a ruckus because it was designed to strain the fastest systems of the time in was made. It runs great now...

I've always found that regardless of how fact my PCs were, PC Games always choke a little when running them on a PC, but not to the point where it prevents me from scoring in Capture the Flag, which was the game I always preferred. I was particularly good at Unreal Tournament CTF. levels. And the Sniper Gun in that game, which the Joystick was great for, I set the zooming controls on the side buttons of the stick.

I've tried various game Controllers, the one I was able to use the best was the one on the Dreamscape machine, it 3as designed well. But the games I wanted never were released for that.
