Not very likely. Apple can get away with a lot more things than anyone else because of their religious followings. Waiting almost a week in line just to get a bloody ipad?

The only reason apple has been able to get away with suing schools and grocery stores for the apple logo in the PR department is because apple fans are religious about it. MS or google suing anyone over a logo or resemblance of design will suffer heavily with their PR because MS and google fans are not religious about it.

It might have something to do with the fact that the Windows phones are flat out superior to the iphony.

Could you show us on the doll where the iPhone touched you?

Geeze man, lighten up a bit.

Those people that get into lines a week early do so because they know the worlds eyes will be there when a new product from Apple is released. They are often a part of some charitable cause or some YouTube channel looking for hits. There isn't an opportunity to do that with Windows products so no one bothers. Heck, the iPhone's competitors even make it a point to advertise that there is no waiting in line for their products.

Envy? You might as well lug around a spare phone given the size of the charger. Wireless charging has been around for a while, it's not really picking up steam. You still have the cord, the wall charger and then you add the additional hardware of the charging platform. This doesn't trump the charger to USB cable that is the current standard.

It's a cute little gimmick but plugging in a cable really isn't a problem that needed a solution. Are your iPhone friends really envious of a wireless charger?

Time after time, these MS commercials just don't do anything for me.

Thank goodness for smart phones -- I use these during TV commercials of ANY kind -can read email / play games / get latest sport results etc etc during the TV commercials or even post to W7 / W8 Forums -- although now I rarely watch any LIVE TV unless it's SPORTS or NEWS. All the other programs I might like to watch I do via the Catch Up services -- where I am the Catch up services have a HUGE advantage -- No commercials !! so I don't care if I watch a program a day or two later. Mega fast download means the programs don't take long to download from the Catch Up provider and you can start watching (Commercial Free) after about 5 mins from the start of the download.

SO I've probably missed all the Ms commercials -- and in any case I still come from a background that used to think if a product HAD to be sold via a TV commercial it probably was a lousy product --after all how often do you see a Ferrari advertised on TV.

Cheers
jimbo

So you have never actually used it, have you?
The Nokia phone has the micro-usb connector to plug into. And with an Otter Case on it, now you have to move the little protective flap out of the way. Plugging in that fat iPhone connector is much easier than a tiny usb. But why do that, when I can just LAY it on the charging plate on the way by the desk? Oh, and when I want to get the phone, I just GRAB it and go.
Gimmicky? I can't understand your logic.

Who buys a mobile phone for the camera? Oh, the majority, as evidenced by several smartphone reviews I've recently read. Not one review said a single word about the phone's ability to make calls, especially in wavering or weaker signal areas, but every other aspect was covered thoroughly.

Mobile phones are not for making calls.

They are for taking embarassing pictures and posting them up on twitbook.

PCs are not for doing anything creative/productive , from now on they will be for shopping, playing games and fbooking - while paying a subscription and being monitored.

I don't know where you get your funny ideas from Ray8.

Well, there are no images to show us besides a "Before and "After" look at the Podcast app, which ios what my podcast app looks like. As long as the "Tap-Screen for Elapsed Time" function still works, it is nothing I can scream about. I don't care WHAT iOS 7 will look like, as long as it has the extreme functionality I have now stays the same. I lke icons more than tiles, but if I really wanted tiles, I'd download the Windows 8 Theme for Winterboard, and it'll look, on the exterior, just like Windows 8. But once I open an app, it still has the same uses regardless of whether I tapped an icon or a tile.
