    An interesting article on big phones/small tablets: Review: Samsung Galaxy Note 2. I think this is why there is so much interest in the likes of 7" tablets, they afford reasonably small size, but offer big screens for useful work.

    I also liked the comments about the use of a stylus vs a finger for accurate work etc.

    As a final point, I can't understand why these types of programs haven't been developed by Microsoft from the outset, if touch is so important:

    Trace keyboards like Swype and SwiftKey fit with the S Pen like hand in glove.
