Windows Blue let you sync your Start screen across devices

The next version of Windows will be able to show you the same Start screen across all your Windows 8 devices.

Investigating the latest enhancements destined for Windows Blue, Supersite for Windows creator Paul Thurrott was greeted by the same Start screen on two different Windows 8 PCs. This means that users who log in with their Microsoft account will see the same Start screen tiles, layout, and color scheme across all their Windows 8 devices.

Yes, Very cool feature.

I would guess it would download the apps as well as long as one is signed into the device with their MS account.

I hope 'devices' means multiple desktops. It would really be nice for my wife to switch computers and everything is the same when she left it. She floats pc - pc adding to favorites and getting mad because the one she added on pc1 aren't on pc2 or 3.

I know there's a way to sync them but

It's to be able to sync the same Start screen tiles, layout, and color scheme across all their Windows 8 devices in addition to what you can already sync now. :)

Thanks Shawn for the clarification, understand this is primarily the core Apps on the Start Screen.:) ...
Somehow I got the weird idea that this would apply to other Apps on the Start Screen such as Office (once installed) etc. That and all current moves to shifting to the Cloud etc.

Maybe that's not too far off :think: ...

I remember turning this feature on in 8RP. Subsequently moving on to Enterprise Evaluation and then to my OEM 8Pro these settings were downloaded automatically. I find it a very convenient feature of the MS cloud.
