Windows engineers share what they like most about Windows 8

Thanks Guy, it was interesting listening to the Engineers instead of consumer.

Wow! Only one answer to your thread. Although Engineers may be biased, they certainly present a more positive attitude towards 8. It was refreshing to watch the video. I agree with a lot of what they said. Yes, I'm a fanboy :D

Hi there

This is a W8 Forum so I'd imagine a fair number would upgrade almost in any case -- it's a bit like getting Turkeys to vote AGAINST Thanksgiving -- not exactly an independent and unbiased audience here.

Currently I can't see ANY reason to upgrade from W7 for typical laptop users.

For Tablet users and new "touch screen" computers then maybe --but this isn't exactly "an Upgrade" in these cases since W7 doesn't really support touch devices.

An option to get rid of the "kiddie" metro screen like Windows 2102 server has (don't enable "Desktop Experience" in configure the Server) might entice me -- but W8 in its current form -- No thanks.

Cheers
jimbo

LOL! I like how you state it straight to the point with your humor thrown in. Kinda' reminds me of Ben Franklin. He had that same honesty with a sense of humorous sarcasm. To quote him:

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

I've always agreed with your point - Choice of UI.
