    lol

About w8, am seeing a similarity with Kellogg's one day starting making anchovy flavored Corn Flakes, and trying hard to force everyone into liking it. Now, that said, with some third party taste-removing + taste-restoring additions it may be decently palatable, but...

I think you did... It's called the "new" PC, the tablet PC, the touch PC, basically the PC that doesn't need an antiquated rodent to work with it. You know, that gimmicky thing from 25 some years ago?
My systems are not antiquated. They are top notch desktops and laptops from a year ago. When I want touch, I use my Android tablet. That does everything I want on a tablet.
I'm not talking about your PC's hardware, I'm talking about the input method to interact with the GUI is antiquated.

Hmm, but I like my input method. Works perfectly. Why change a winning team only because some morons in Redmond think that this is a good thing for them - not for me.

I with you. I'm looking for a good deal on a touch monitor for my new build, but I surely wont retire my mouse and keyboard. As I said before I cant see any better combination than a confortable chair and a wireless keyboard.

I am not even looking for a touch monitor. I have been working on a 24" touch monitor for a while. I got cramps in my arms. That's not for me. Apart from all the smudging.

You better try that out for an hour or so before you sink any money into it.

I'm sure I'd fit that bill.... but I'm already on 8, in desktop mode.

So I guess the steering wheel in cars is antiquated, afterall, it's around 100 years old now.

Yes, it's about time it was replaced by something more awkward.

The above-displayed photos are pictures of DaimlerChrysler’s F 200 concept study, produced by the Mercedes-Benz design team and unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1996 to show off “groundbreaking systems for improving safety and comfort in passenger cars” and demonstrate “just how technical innovations could open up new avenues for the styling of future top-of-the-range cars.” The full DaimlerChrysler press release described the vehicle thusly.

There are actually alternatives for the steering wheel - custom made for people with handicaps, like touchscreens for PCs.

I've been backing up "My Documents" with CDBurnerXP because 1. I consider Windows Backups to be opaque and I prefer to keep them simple and to know what is going on 2. Windows Backups does some things I believe are risky so I will not use it 3. Windows 7 had a deep directory structure problem...
