Coming soon: Holographic hand-motion technology

Here at MVP Global Summit 2013 I've just met developers of Leap Motion technology which is rolling out soon. This will eventually replace the mouse with hand gestures in front of the screen.

Here's a preview:

More at: https://www.leapmotion.com/

This has rocked me because I've predicted for years that with a perfect OS like WIn7 all that's missing is holographic hand gestures, eventually perhaps holographic screen.

This would help Windows 8 greatly since it's not selling a lot of touchscreens.

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! . . .

Actually, Windows 8 is selling a lot of touchscreen monitors, but to have something like the Leap Motion embedded into laptops would be really neat.

I have to ask, I can't find a single spec on how far the Leap Motion can be used. Does anyone know this? I would really love to use as this would replace my mouse for SURE along with touch, so up close use with the PC along with further away use can be done meaning I can sit back a like a few feet away from the monitor and still interact with Windows. Also, does anyone know how precise it is? It looks real precise, but I have to wonder about hand gesturing technology and being able to be precise with it.

These are exciting times, there's a lot of different tech coming out, sometime in the future someone will come out with Google Glasses, oh yeah.
I saw the presentation on the new HTC One today, what a superb phone, I though the One X was great, but this is in another league. Lets hope they come out with a great Windows phone as well.

Considering HTC releases a new phone every six months, I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a Windows Phone counterpart. Although I have to speculate that their latest One seems more like catch up to the Nokia Lumia 920. I'll wait until the MWC gathering soon where Nokia should announce cool new things that make everything else look like an iphone.

I'm not too sure why you'd be too enthused with google glasses as considering that THIS is probably close to being spot on to what the UI will look like....
