A company that, at least in the US, sells it's cheapest Windows 8 touch device at ~$1100 (with most of the range actually between $1400-$1700) really can't be serious. In fact, MOST of their devices still ship with Windows 7 as the default option on their own site, and some of those have NO option for Windows 8.

C'mon, at least they should be trying to compete with the rest of the OEMs out there before they start flapping their virtual gums here. The only "problem" I see here is Fujitsu's options and pricing, and thinking these are reasonable for what they're selling in today's marketplace.

Fujitsu is primarily a company that sells high end computing gear to corporate clients. I just don't see them as a valid spokesperson for consumer products...

I’m sure Win8 is not driving PC sales as new MS OS's have in the past for a number of reasons which have little to do with Win8. These include a retail consumer shift away from PC's to tablets, but also many people just aren't willing to spend as they have in the past. Consumer Confidence in the United States decreased to 65.10 in December from 71.50 in November. Historically, from 1967 until 2012, the United States Consumer Confidence averaged 93.03. Business Confidence isn't a lot better: 60.1 in June 2012, now 50.7. There are people and businesses spending, but not at the rate they did in the past, so slower PC sales are to be expected and Win8 isn't going to turn that around.

Fujitsu as you say supply machines mostly to business, what business is going to want to change to Win8 in its current form it is unsuitable for the purpose so companies will stick with XP or 7 and the fore why change machines.

Microsoft has made it's big bucks from enterprise and server back office. They have blown that market chasing a consumer pipe dream with this ill conceived Modern UI on desktop machines. They should have realised they can't do lifestyle or consumer after Zune and stuck to what they do well OS for productivity and office.

So now businesses keep old machines with XP and 7 they don't need to upgrade their servers so who buys Server 2012?

Well, you have your opinion - in my experience it is inaccurate (esp the bit about businesses not wanting to move to Windows 8), but it is mixed with truth (companies don't want to change to new hardware unless they have to, and they'll probably stick to XP until they're forced off near the end of 2013 due to appcompat reasons).
