Native ISO mounting in Windows 8

It's high time I join you guys in the hype for Windows 8. And to kick things off, I want to share this little screeny with you:

As you can see, Microsoft is adding a new feature to natively mount and burn .iso images in Windows 8.

You can mount, but not edit ;)

Also, it may just be a dev tool...

I hope not. It would be extremely useful to have a native handler for .iso files, burning and mounting if nothing else. It would certainly save me time on installing and updating an extra third-party software just for my CD rips (don't ask, when it comes to ripping CDs, I'm an editing perfectionist, psychopathic maniac xD)

I agree!

Apart from that, it looks like MS will be adding a special feature for coloring the Aero interface (windows borders, taskbar and start menu), depending on the current wallpaper of the theme.

Very nice, though i have been using Daemon Tools for as long as i can remember, hopefully i can leave that program behind.

I love this feature. Right clicking on the iso shows the option "Mount", then when one checks in Explorer, theres the mounted dvd/cd. To unmount, right click drive icon, select Eject Disk.

I've used Daemon Tools for quite a long time, but SPDT slows down the drives.

Now PowerISO all the way... no SPDT. :)

This is great, it's about time they've naitivly supported mounting. It's feature that I think should of been implemented in windows 7.
