10.8 verses 10.9 seconds and 10 hours of install! I got a big chuckle out of that one!
    Haha me too

To be honest I quite like the idea of yearly updates. If they are free or dirt cheap than even better! As long as the option is there and doesn't force people to update if they don't want to. If people are happy with the OS they currently have then they can keep it, but for those of us who who like to have the latest system with new features or whatever then great. I see it to be a little like Android, as I love updating and playing around with the new releases when they come.

I assume these "updates" will be similar to a service pack or will it be a lot more?

Do you feel that you can't keep up-to-date with all of Microsoft'snew operating systems. Well, as Al Jolson would have said it, "You ain'tseen nothing yet."

If you ask me they have lost the plot or the rumours are false - there is nothing wrong with the UI, and as people come around it will become more popular then windows 7.

If it means some UI enhancements to the Start Screen without buying it, as a service pack of sorts, I'm all for it!

But what happens after that, I do not know...

There's another reason to go open-source.

WHY does MS continue to force users to go where they do NOT want to go.

Okay, I bit. I've been using Windows 8 for six weeks now, since launch, refusing any temptation to read anything whatsoever about whatever its successor might be. So now here I am, reading this thread. But ... my OS is only six weeks old! Arghghghghg!!!

Man, does it seem like this stuff just moves too fast sometimes?

If you go to the Coustomisation section, there's a topic called 'Customised Signatures and Avatars'.

Post there with a request, and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.
