Windows 8 — Disappointing Usability

"A Christmas gift for someone you hate". This is rather an unprofessional statement right off the bat IMO. Lost all respect from me right there. Geez. Like it's ok to hate someone and then give a bad gift?!! During the holidays no less? Nothing but a negative eye-catching statement to sell yourself and news.

Of course he's going to bash MS -> He's Oracle based in his entrepreneurial developments.

I thought someone would find a reason to knock the article. If the message isn't palatable, shoot the messenger.

I hate this appalling use of English. You can have a holiday any day of the year. You are referring to Christmas so call it that.

Actually there is Christmas, New Years, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day to name a few. Not everyone celebrates Christmas you know. A Guy

When did you think that? After I stated my good reason within the lines of my opinion? It's totally unprofessional IMO. No couth whatsoever.

Do you really "hate" it that much? Well, if you're so English literate you must know that there are certain words or thought that are understood within a sentence or statement. Obviously I accomplished that for you, as I'm sure others, understood what I meant. Also, here in the U.S. we often refer to the period of time after Thanksgiving and approaching Christmas, New Years, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, and Boxing Day, etc. (thanks Bill) as "the holidays" (plural), for they (plural) are all around the same time of the year.

Really?! And why is that relevant?

Your moral outrage is melodramatic, to say the least. And then you accuse the author of self-interest and natural bias towards Microsoft with no proof whatsoever. Somewhat a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Good PC = Rockin' Windows 8

After a couple of weeks, and tweaking things a bit, I would argue that Windiws 8 is remarkably fast, stable, and customizable. I'm wondering what PC brand others are using? I am running Win8 on a Custom-build Maingear PC; I couldn't be happier!
