4 Million Windows 8 Copies Since Launch

On sale for less than a week, Microsoft's latest software offering, Windows 8, has sold more than four million upgrade copies alone, according to Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer speaking at the BUILD conference in Seattle. He also said the Seattle, WA.-based company is also seeing strong interest from business and enterprise users, and that Windows 8 was even outselling the software's predecessor, Windows 7, during the same period after launch in July 2009.
    This was even more shocking:

Ballmer was not willing to disclose anything on the record about how well the latest operating system was selling. However, the software giant threw open the doors on at least one key metric.

I have no trouble believing consumer interest because of low prices, but I wonder who these enterprises are that are rolling it out. Maybe they are just counting those with enterprise agreements with software assurance.

I use the Metro PDF reader, it's not that I like it that much, but I hate to install the Adobe one.

Adobe is 100% rubbish. Get PDF X Change viewer.

Still not surprised. 8 is here. It will be the main focus from now on, and 7 will be increasingly marginalized. I already have a laptop whose support ends at 7. I think I'll chuck it and get a Win 8 Pro tablet.

Lets see, Windows 7 click on start menu, find program ,click on program, boot onto desktop.

Windows 8 click on tile, boot onto desktop.

Metro app click on tile, boot up.

I read on this article you can boot windows 8 and windows 8.1 on the same machine. Someone in the comments said it is not possible to run two versions of 8.1 but I would like to find out how to make it possible. However, would like to install 8.1 twice with 2 different versions. Why because...
I went to them to purchase yet another updated copy, but refuse to lease the software for an annual fee, which appears to be their new business model. (N, O, nu-uh.) Yes compression comes native with Windows, but I'd like to password protect backups and such, and find it handy to have it in...

I have seen some around and can gain access to them but they are from dubious sources. What's the latest build number you recommend and a safe place to download it? Thanks.
