just open a new tread to ask how to do it and I will be very please to explain 2 way of doing it, one easy and another less easy, you probably use the hard one...
I think this tread is perfect for this, the alternative of XP mode needs to be able to connect on the same machine. If you like to explain, it will be appreciated. I didnt find any solution to do this on the Web. All sources explain how Hyper-V is and how to setup a virtual machine, but for that case, I'm searching. It's a lot easier with other tools.

As I said, VMware Player should be easier to setup. Use what you like.
I provided the link in a previous post.
Thanks for the reiteration. I have the link from your previous post.
Thanks for all your help, greatly appreciate it.
    You're welcome.

Good luck with the XP install.

I think i wiil uninstall Hyper-V, 3D accelerator is more interresting for old games.
Be careful, the 3D driver has its own limitations/bugs. It depends also how fast the host is.
It depends how old the games are. I use VMware Player for the same purpose. I have 3D turned off for some games and all works well (sometimes even better) this way.

Examples: RTS like Red Alert and Red Alert2 go well without 3D acceleration. They work better on Win98/ME VM's with additions and on XP without additions (bad acceleration with additions in this case). It seems some games work different on different VM's, with or without additions.

since last time I post here, I take my diner, I enable hyper-v in my computer, I install a Windows 7 pro in it and here it's show that I use remote desktop and I have sound

1- at the back, you can see my host computer name in the computer property ; gerard-computer
2- you can see on hyper-v management that my vm is in in gerard-computer
3- finally you can see the vm and the sound icon is enable

what the noob who tell you that was not possible forget probably to enable the second option in the pic down , and don't know how to setup a virtual switch ( later in the tutorial ) sorry for the french, I need this vm in french. But IM sure some one computer literate can recognize this windows

Call me a noob if you want, but i already enabled that second option and i also setuped 2 virtual switches (one external and one internal). It's easy to call some one a noob but some peaple can have some issues and that is probably my case. I'm searching again and I don't think that my answers will be here. You supposed what was my mistake just like that ? :P

It probably was a mistake from me to tell that it's not possible, but from what I tried with Hyper-V, for now, is really not the best from what I'have already seen.

In my case, my computer (that is the "host") see my virtual machine on the network, but I can't connect with it. I must changed somthing I don't know... I'm searching. :P

Oh, and for those who want to understand where to go to have the screens that area is showing, i found a simple tutorial : How to Enable Remote Desktop in Windows 8

EDIT : It's sad to see that remoteFX is only supported with Windows Server, not for Windows 8 (not server). That makes Hyper-v less interessting for a personnal workstation...

Ok, it worked, but I tried something and it doesn't work anymore. My bad. :P

But I dont recommend Hyper-V as an alternative of XP Mode. It's more usefull for servers and it was clearly designed for servers.

    What you should know :

    - Complicated for begginners.
    - No 3D accelarator (except if tyou use Windows Server and remoteFX)
    - It's recommended to connect 2 network cards on your router/switch if you use an virtual external switch. One for the host, one for your virtual switch. But it's possible to use the same Ethernet port.

EDIT : sorry for the 3 posts in a row, i tought we can delete our posts.

    It's alright here.

    I know French.

Looks very interesting. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
I'll try it out when I get the chance (no hyper-v enabled pc yet).

    Glad you figured something out.

So the remote settings (area66's post and your link) have to be turned on on the host (win8) and just in case I'll test this on a clean VM to make sure some settings are right. I'll see how far I can go with this setup.

Deleting posts is possible I guess, but you need more posts in you counter.
