    Hi there
Strange -- I'm running a HOST Windows 10 but latest build (9879) and have had not a squeak of a problem with VMware running Virtual machines. I've got two W10 VM's and a slew of W8.1 and W7 VM's and an XP one too. No problem with any of them.

However it's always good to keep in mind these types of fixes which appear to solve a lot of users problems. So Thanks for the info.

(There IS a problem though with running VMware on a HOST LINUX system with any Windows VM as GUESTS - UNITY mode doesn't work properly with W10 guests. W8 / W7 etc guests all work fine).

    Cheers

You must have fake specs and not know anything about Hardware and Software because you can not get 1000Mbps internet.
Please wait 10 years until your specs are actually ... existable

You must have to have a BEAST GPU to run UNITY in a VM Ware Machine

    Hi there

UNITY refers simply to running a bit like "XP Mode" -- the Windows menus just appear (or should appear) in the desktop. It doesn't require any special hardware -- works fine on an HP Laptop !!!.

You need to enable hardware acceleration and 3D in the VMware Virtual machine config. Then UNITY mode appears as an option on the VM menu -- simple - no problem. Note you need to run VMware on a HOST LINUX machine for this feature to work sensibly. No point on a Windows VM running on Windows Host - XP VM's don't support 3D graphics BTW.

Not sure what the 1000mb/s internet reference is to -- I certainly never made any remark on that at all -- although you can run your Virtual NIC at a theoretical 1GB/s -- but you won't get that throughput on your networked HDD's or even SSD's.

To enable 3D etc in VMware in Linux Distros :

    1) in the vm config file add mks.enable3d="TRUE"
    2) add line mks.gl.allowBlacklistedDrivers="TRUE"

    3) install package driconf
    4) install package libtxc_dxtn this enables S3TC

(You can also increase the virtual video drivers RAM size if you want to - just change the size of nvram in the config file -- you shouldn't need to reset it though).

    Cheers
