Error creating virtual machine (Client Hyper-V, Win 8 Pro)

I'm using an AlienWare M14 machine. I tried to create a virtual machine locally using Client Hyper-V on Windows 8 Pro, but it still doesn't work (took me a lot of time). I added the Hyper-V features in "Turn windows feature on or off", and all of the requirements to run Hyper-V are fulfilled (SLAT, BIOS, 64 bits, ...) (I attach the msinfo32 output in this post). At the last step in creating a virtual machine, it says "... General access denied error... (0x80070005)" (for details, check my attached image). I googled, tried some solutions but still no luck so far.

    Thanks for any help.

Actually, the error is general access denied. I have already uploaded a new image. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello,

An access denied can have many causes. First check to see if you have full read-write access on your drive (H) and if the connection is good.

Search for 0x80070005 and you'll see what I mean, the best link in your case might be this:
Hyper-V virtual machine may not start, and you receive a ??General access denied error? (0x80070005)? error message

    Good luck.

In my case, I couldn't even create a virtual machine, let alone start an existing one. I already tried the permissions by giving full permission for my account. I even used the built-in admin account, but the error is still the same "general access denied error"

    Test other disks if available.
Have you tried to create a machine on another disk/partition?

It's a matter of searching the right words, I hope the issue was mentioned somewhere.

It seems someone fixed the issue here:
Hyper-V! failed to create external configuration store : General access denied error. (ox80070005)

    search term:
hyper v failed to create external configuration store

Hi, I have already tried to create a VM on another partition (even on a external hard disk), but the error is still there. I used to check out the link (that you gave me) via Google but that situation is not the same as mine. Can anyone have any other ideas? Thank you.

Sorry to still see this unfixed.
It seems not so many use Hyper-V or it can be that it's a rare issue...

Do you also get access denied on the C: drive?

This would be hard for me to fix since I don't use Hyper-V.
You can still wait for others to answer or look online for some fix.
If no solutions are available, depends how urgent the matter is, you can try other (free) alternatives that work easier like VMware Player or VirtualBox.

    Good luck
