    For VMPlayer Question

I installed vmplayer just like Brink said
when i got to this part
    Customize Hardware
on New CD/DVD you show to Usie iSO Image
which i did which was on m c:/Username/Downloads folder file
    all went well with installation
now clicking on the bottom of the vm
I see when you highlight over the dvd it points to this file
Now what would happen (i have not done it ) if i decide to delete the iso file in my download folder because it is 3gig and i want to burn it to a dvd so i have it seperate.
this is what it looks like:

Will it wipe out the OS windows 8 now that loads in the vmplayer?

    thanks
    robin

You need to change the device hardware to point to your physical DVD drive then you can delete the ISO if you wish.

    Hello Robin,

The ISO basically acted as a virtual DVD drive. This allowed you to boot from the Windows 8 CP ISO like it was a installation DVD to install Windows 8 CP with. After Windows 8 CP is finished installing, you no longer have to have the ISO set as the DVD like you would no longer have to keep the Windows 7 installation disc in the DVD drive after Windows 7 is installed. That's all.

Instead, you could do as Stollin posted above to select to use your host's (your computer's) actual physical DVD drive instead.
