Hyper-V on MS SUrface Pro - can't connect to internet

Hi

I have a Microsoft Surface Pro where I have installed the Hyper-V manager and so on.
I have made a virtual external switch and a virtual machine with Server 2012 on it. It connects fine to the switch. The Hyper-V makes a virtual bridge and all seems fine. But the guest does'nt get an IP adresse, and can't connect to the internet/LAN.

I have made the exact same setup on my laptop connected to Ethernet and there is no problem at all.

Does the Surface Pro Wireless have a problem with Hyper-v ?

Hi there
does it work with your laptop using Wifi -- sometimes the Virtual switch gives problems using Wifi but works fine on a LAN.

You aren't testing like with like - LAN on laptop, Wifi on Tablet. - To diagnose a problem you need to have as far as possible the SAME set of hardware components otherwise nothing can be logically deduced !!!.

I have just tried with Wireless on my laptop. Created a new switch with the Wireless nic. It worked fine on the laptop. The guest OS gets an IP and can connect to the internet.
I know my laptop and my surface pro isn't the same hardware, but I was trying to figure out if I was doing something wrong or not. I do the exact same thing on my laptop and the tablet, so it should not be a problem with the settings.
Won't it be a strange thing if the Microsoft Surface Pro can't use its only nic together with Hyper-V ?
