Hi,

I didn't install any 3rd party app to mount iso.
Yesterday, i tried to mount a iso file, it didn't worked.
Then googled about it, tried sfc /scannow, no success.
Then i checked "Default programs - associate file extension...", there is no entry for .iso.
Please help.
.iso entry is missing.png
Tried Daemon tools lite... that is not working either.. :(
After enabling virtual drives in DT, device manager's showing this:

In that case. What did you mean by "it didn't work" when you tried to mount an ISO file?

Did you get an error message?

Last night, i tried to mount a iso, before that i mounted many iso files (few days back).
There was no error message, only the mouse pointer kept waiting n waiting for about 5~7 mins, then i closed that explorer window, and again tried same...and got same thing...so then googled about it...then sfc /scannow...but no luck :'(

Since this has only been a few days ago, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before this happened may be able to quickly sort it for you.

When you double click on "TSST corp...." in Device Manager, what error does it give you in "Device Status" in the General tab?

Last weekend, i installed win 7 hp on other drive (dual boot), since then i didnt mount any iso, till last night.
Thing which i'm wondering is that, may be installing win 7 over win 8 (installed earlier), is making this issue; cos just now i booted in win7; there that dvd drive is fine.
*installing win7, changes the boot loader, so may be that's cozing this problem*
