Sounds like nothing is mounted to it so it can't be ejected. How are you creating the Virtual CD? Can't you just disable it?

You don't say exactly what the software is so I'll guess it's Power2GO, so see here: Customer Support - How do I disable Virtual Drive in CyberLink Power2Go 8? | CyberLink

If that isn't it, just do a Google search for disable cyber link xxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxxx is the name of the program.
