Solved Can't log in as Admin

What am I doing wrong??? I followed the tutorial recommended and it didn't work! I', dyslexic and 79 and ripping my hair out. I'm using 8.1. I logged in to an admin account on startup Here's what I did then

Win X
clicked on command prompt (admin)
did CMD search with the charms
Rt clicked on command prompt
cliked on Run as Administrator
typed in -- net user administrator/active:yes

Well, that didn't work, and I was told that the sintax didn't work, and I got a lot of instruction that I didn't understand, so I tried using the administrator name two ways:
net user Katherine Frey/active:yes
net user Katherine/active:yes

I'm really hoping someone can help. Thanks for reading.

You almost got the command correct. There should be a space between "administrator" and "/" in the command like below.

net user administrator /active:yes

Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable in Windows 8

After you have enabled the "Administrator" account using the command above, you should see "Administrator" available to sign in to on the sign in screen.
