Changed Administrator and deleted the old one-> Restricted

Hey everyone, I inherited a computer from a friend who used to have restrictions over the most used account. I wanted to get rid of these restrictions and took a shortcut:
I promoted this account I'm using now to administrator then deleted the old account.
Now this administrator is having issues accessing certain things such as firewall.
I kinda thought this might happen because I remember a similar situation in my past, I guess I should have known better.
I'm hoping there is a quick fix to make this account full admin without going back to system restore and having to keep the old administrator.

    Thanks for the help guys!

If you follow the instructions in the Tutorial and Enable the built-in Administrator Acct. you should be able to do anything you want with the device.
