Solved Login help needed after PC Refresh
A friend was having major issues and tried to fix Windows 8.1 herself.
She managed to return it back to Windows 8 which is good.
But somehow she managed to create a new Administrator address & password.
Now this message pops up after typing in one password and pressing OK
But we can't get logged in to use the internet. Except on the Standard Account.
You can't sign into your PC right now. Go to
account.live.com to fix the problem, or try the last
password you used on this PC.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Hello Ron,
You get that message, as you found out, when the Microsoft account is not able to connect to the internet to sync and verify the password.
Usually, you can click on OK, and type the last password used for the account to be able sign in while offline.

Thank you Brink.
She remembered the new password and it let me in but; what if she didn't remember?
I'm definitely creating a couple password reset disks for her. As well as emailing her all the passwords I know of hers (invisible ink of course)

If she didn't, then it could be an issue if the PC wasn't able to connect online to sync with a reset MS password.
It would be a good idea to have the passwords all written down and kept somewhere safe and secure.
