Trying to read minidumps but UAC won't allow me to do so

As per the subject line, I am trying to read the minidumps in the Windows minidumps directory but Windows tells me I'm not authorized to do so. I'm not sure what I need to do to give myself permission to read my own files. I have three accounts on the computer but do almost everything on the one main account, which is the same one I'm using to try to view the minidumps. (I basically just want to make sure the dumps don't contain any confidential information like passwords before I post them elsewhere in these forums for help with my BSODs.)

What do I need to do get read access to my minidumps? A detailed answer or tutorial or video would be very helpful here; if you say "authorize yourself to read the files" my next question is going to be HOW? ;-) I've never played with user accounts very much and know very little about them.
