In anticipation of receiving a visitor who might want to use the internet, I would like to set up a guest account.
I want to prevent access from the guest account to all system files and folders and, of course, to everything in my account, and prevent downloading or installing anything.
I have searched for on-line information about doing this and found alarming stories of guest accounts having access to, for example, the Control Panel, amongst other things. Many of the recommendations include changing the security settings of all relevant folders, i.e. those to which access is to be denied.
Is it really as awkward and involved as this (in keeping with more or less everything else in 8.1), or is there a simple way of achieving this requirement?
