Can you setup a std user account to access specific APPS?

I believe the title provides enough info, but I am wondering as an example in Windows 8.1 if you can create a stand user account called "user1" that can access only MS Office Word, and "user2" that can only access MS Office Excel. Is this type of control possible ?

Hello ciscokids1, and welcome to Eight Forums.

If you like, you could use Assigned Access for this for the modern app versions of those programs from the Store.

Hi Brink .... I read the tutorial you posted for me on "Assigned Access". It is not exactly what I need. In my situation I am setting up a couple of PC's for a non-profit organization and in this case Windows Store will not be used, only a certain set of applications that I will be installing across 2 PC's. When I create a Standard User can I assign which application(s) he/she can see/use and the remainder of installed applications will not be available or even viewable ?

In that case, other than some 3rd party app, you might see if using the tutorial below with group policy may work for this.
