How to move data from Guest Account to another Account?

My kid uses Guest Account in Windows 8.1. The Family Safety seems unable to apply to the Guest Account, right? So I have to create another account with the Family Safety applied. But, my kid does not want to lose all game data in the Guest Account. How to move all the data from the Guest Account to another account so that my kid can play the game from the new account without losing anything? Thank you for your answer.

I have moved data from one account to another several times. Most of the time, it goes really well! However, finding, identifying [safe to move], copying and/or moving folders' files from guest to a standard account is very geeky! If you are not properly geeky, it can go really not well at all. I recommend copying the files from folders, I do not recommend trying to move folders. How geeky, how skilled, do you regard yourself concerning Explorer [which was once called File Manager back when Fred Flintstone used windows]?

Then, how do you successfully copy all data from Guest Account and then move to a Standard Account in Windows 8.1?

You can just use public folders. You can find them here, if you know how to enter this address into the right place: C:\Users\Public

You can then use the folders with all accounts (guest too, I believe).

OR you could use external USB drive you might have on hand.

OR you could create a shared folder... OR onedrive: Share files and folders - Windows Help

I think I should copy Guest instead of Public folder. Is it correct? I saw Public andGuest by This PC > Users > Guest or Public. I have copied the Guest folder by right click and then temporarily pasted on the desktop. Is it correct or I should copy the Public instead of Guest folder? If it is correct to copy the Guest folder, how to move it to the standard account?

I just reread your original post. It may be difficult to move game data specifically; I thought you were speaking about just regular files.

The methods I described tell you HOW you can move data to the correct account. But in order to get everything functioning perfectly, some games allow you to move saved game data around. So you'll need to move those specific files over to the exact same location in the new account as it was in the old account. Often there are separate saved game folders, but often too the game makes it difficult to find.

Some games will allow you to import saved games. There are millions of games with near infinite possibilities of how the game requires you to import saved games. You may have to look up specifically how for each game. Someone here MAY know how, but no guarantee someone will (the specific way to transfer a saved game for a specific game).

Another option would be to allow them to play out the games until they finish, give them a time frame, and once the date comes around, lock them out (disable) the guest account.

I just copied all subfolders from the Guest folder and then pasted and replaced the same subfolders in the standard account. Then I turned off the Guest Account. I do not know whether it will work or not and will let my kid to try it from a standard account.
