Damaged ? user account

I had been using WordPerfect X7 Home version. After a few months I tried loading the standard version. I never succeeded .The Corel support suggested I create a new user account to see whether the disk was okay. It worked. Still, I was unable to get the standard version onto the original user acct Corel tried for several hours and failed. Today I uninstalled x7 from both accounts and tried again. The standard version showed up in the new account but not in the old one where I want it. SoCorel said it is a problem with the user account which they could not fix. The original user account needs to be repaired, whatever that mean. ANY IDEAS?
