How do I set up login list(including guest account)?

The title says it all. I use windows 8.1 pro. I live in dorm and because of that decided to install prey software(anti-theft). Unfortunately i worry that it won't work. I set up guest account and it works but thief won't see login list--> I have one admin account and guest and I ALWAYS have to write my user name and password. I disabled auto login feature and tried a few tutorials but they don't seem to work( some users mentioned that's because in win8.1 it's impossible).
How to do it? Or alternatives to prey?
PS Sorry for my English, please write about my mistakes if you want

The problem is that i used this software and it shows that i've enabled user list while i don't see anything like that. Also i would like to point that "If you used any of the other options in this tutorial, then be sure to undo them first before using this option." is for me impossible because i know that i've tried some tutorials but don't know what should i undo.

In that case, you could do a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated before you used them to undo them. Afterwards, you could then use Option One.

And if I don't want to do system restore? Also I don't remember when i did this- I'm sure that I've tried when installing prey, early october, but possibly as early as one year before, when i disabled autologin feature.
edit:
What system restore deletes- I've got only "one partition-disc" and wonder what about my personal files and folders- mostly on desktop and in desktop folder.

A system restore wouldn't affect files in your user folders, but it would affect anything done to the system (ex: installed programs, drivers, etc...) after the date of the restore point.

Since you don't know what you did before, it wouldn't hurt to use the default settings in Option Two and Option Three of the tutorial posted above to restore those default settings to see if it may let Option One work for you afterwards.
