So something is wired here i have not changed anything but my user permissions look strange, i am admin on this pc always have been but this looks strange any help would be appreciated here is a picture off my user permission on a application, what gives here. and how can i fix if i need to.
i have notes that i seams to have a duplicate admin account on some folders like this one with just special on it, how did it get there and how do i fix this mess.
so nothing has changed i looked and all looks the same control panel user acounts shows me as a administrator but yet what the heck is that other me on the folder security listed as special and then the other admin me as full control, i dont understand this why is it like this and how did it do this??. I think this is why all the sudden my alienware command center has started to ask me for permission. and my total media theater decided to deactivate itself as well i had to reactivate it, some how this other me with just special has appeared. its not on all the applications just a few like total media and my alienware command center and norton.
Tony - suggest you edit your picture in the first post to remove your email address to save getting loads of spam.
To be clear Administrator (with no plural) is the built in administrator. Tonyxxxxxx@xxxxxx.com is your microsoft account and presumably part of the Administrators (with an s) group.
Who are you normally signing on as?
Is your microsoft account a member of the administrators group?
I think so yes i sign in as my Microsoft account , it shows as admin under control panel user accounts. that is the normal account i sign in with yes. Thanks for pointing that mistake i made in the picture out, i hope i dont get spam lol.
