Accidentally changed the admin account to a local account

Hi I have accidentally changed the admin account to a local user and now cannot make any changes to my laptop. I am using an ASUS brand and when I click on manage user accounts it pops up with a screen "connect smart card". Kindly help, thanks in advance.

Can you login with the built in Admin account ? if you can then login as Administrator and change your user back to admin.
If you can't then use this procedure to change it back to Admin account:
Deleted admin account in Win 8.1 update. How to restore?

Hi unfortunately I don't have a windows 8 install disk because it is pre-installed. I have contacted Microsoft but they said its an OEM issue and the only thing is to go back to where I bought it because its a pre-installed OS

You can download this: Macrium WinPE .iso - OneDrive to boot up your PC. As long as you can get it to boot with Windows PE to use the Command Prompt.

After downloaded, use Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way to create a USB then boot from it, ignore the back up screen but look on the bottom left corner, there's an icon for the Command Prompt, use it and follow the steps from other post.
