Weak password in Windows 8.1

Hi,

I've been getting very annoyed with the enforced security for my Windows 8 password. I tried to change it and was told it needs to be at least 8 characters with a capital and a number, but I have no valuable data on my machine and am not remotely worried that anyone will put any effort into getting through my password.

All I want is a password of one or two characters, which is enough to deter anyone I could reasonably be worried about. If someone steals my computer I would obviously be upset, but I wouldn't care if he could get through the password or not.

I think I remember reading that it's possible to do this by having a password not connected to a windows live account, which I don't want anyway, but I can't remember how to do this or find the article again.

Could someone please tell me if this is possible and how I do it?

Thanks,
Alex.
