Just got a new surface pro 2.
I had a Dell Venue 11 Pro and I could set under accounts.. sign-in options.. require password after display has been off xx minutes
Like your tutorial: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/28485-password-require-after-display-off-windows-8-1-a.html

But on SP2 there is no option for the delay, just require or don't require.

I also tried the regedit, but that did not work either.

I hate on the tablet to put my password in every time I turn it on. Which can be 5 -8 times an hour.

Thanks Guys,
Ted

Thank you and thank you for the warm welcome.

I am actually wanting it ask for a password, but only after the computer hasn't been used for x minutes.
Tablet_Password_Policy-1.jpg

According the tutorial I should get the above option for password policy

I only get require or don't require?

Doesn't sound like it's an option? Crud!

I wonder if it has something to do with S2 suspend and all that stuff.

I don't pretend to understand the different suspend states, but I know on the Venue Pro forums there was a lot of discussion on them.
Speculated as one of the reasons the Venue Pro doesn't work very well. And why we are going with the surface pro's

If anyone figures it out......

Thanks,
Ted
