    permissions: interactive, service & batch

Windows 8.1 64b with 3 users: administrator, standard & guest

While I intended to restrict the access of guest to "public" folder, I discovered the following:

    For folder C:/Users/Public,
I have the usual permissions: administrators, creator Owner & System, plus twice the 3 following ones: interactive, service & batch, with almost full permissions.
Is it normal that Windows creates these permissions (and twice for each one of the 3)?
    Hoxw they were produce?
    Can I safely delete them?

    Many thanksfor your expert advice

    Hello Arturoruiz,

There's no need to modify the permissions of the Public folder since all users have full access to it by default.

To answer your question, yes that would be normal for those system groups to there for the Public folder, and you do not want to delete them.

Permissions - Allow or Deny Access to Users and Groups in Windows 8

If you like, you could have guests use the Guest account to prevent them from being able to do anything to the system. It allows people (guest) to use your PC without having access to your personal files.

Guest Account - Turn On or Off in Windows 8

    Hope this helps,
