Choosing a local vs. Microsoft Account

I've always used a Microsoft Account to login to Windows 8.1 and have my setting synced

now I'm thinking, would it give me any faster Windows performance if I had chosen a local account instead? or is it the same?

    Hello MaXimus,

There would be no difference in Windows performance between using a Microsoft account or local account.
