I don't want to have to enter my password every time my computer turns on or wakes up. How do I turn this off. Thanks

Thanks, 2cents. Tried your suggestion and restarted the computer, but it still asks for password. Went back to netplwiz page and the box is unchecked, so I'm baffled. Thanks for trying.

Are you trying to remove your password?

If that is what you are asking, then open control panel and search 'remove password'. Click on "Create or Remove your Account Password". Now, click on Remove your password. Enter your current password and click "Remove Password". Done :)

Hello Jamal, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Check the box, apply, then try the tutorial again in case you may have entered the password incorrectly by mistake.

In addition, check the items listed in the yellow tip box at the top for other causes of password requirement.

Hope this helps, :)
