Set Family Safety Time Limits in Windows 8.1

I set up Family Time Limits using the Curfew option for a user but it does not seem to have taken. I followed the steps in the tutorial. Please advise.

    Hello Jipr,

I'm not sure which tutorial you are referring to, but double check using the tutorial below to see if it may help for now.

Thanks for the response Brink. The tutorial you posted is indeed the one I used; Option 1 - locally in Windows 8. When I tested it out during the curfew time I was able to log in as the user. See screen shot below for the set up.

Odd. Do you have the On, enforce current settings option checked like below?

I opted to set it up on the Family Safety Website. In Time Limits I guess one should not set an Allowance and a Curfew. Seems redundant. As I understand it Allowance sets blocks of times (1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, 2,5 hours, etc.) as opposed to Curfew where you can drill down to the exact time represented by the blue shaded boxes. I should only set one of these, correct?

It shouldn't matter as long as you don't have conflicting times set for them.

I personally like the strict allowed or blocked times.
