    update


    Took about six hours to re-image the drive. due to option I chose, I am sitting with ME as the only user with a local account; before I screw it up, can I change my account to administrator without switching to a microsoft account. can't do much right now as I am non admin.

    Odd. The account you setup during installation should be an administrator.

    Well, there was an option to backup and replace my files etc. that is where i chose the wrong image. So, I now have a local or microsoft account passworded. My name comes up everywhere it is supposed to be now.
    No admin privilages, so I cannot go back in and do another image. Tha
    t option does not come up do to no admin.

    You might see if you may be able to enable the built-in Administrator account using one of the options in the tutorial below.
    If successful, sign in to it and see if you are able to change your account to be an administrator type.
