After upgrading Windows 8 to 8.1 - my standard user does no longer have administration rights.
in computer administration ->local user and Groups - the properties for the user shows that the user belongs the Group administrators.
However when I access the user account in the control panel the user shows up as "standard" and I cannot change that while logged in as standard user.
I have tried logging in as Administrator (using the built in administrator) - but here I am also unable to change the setting of the standard user from "standard" to "Administrator" - the "change account type" button
is greyed out and cannot be clicked.
I have tried everything I can think of, read all I could find on the net - but to no avail.
Can u assist
