Nope, that option must be done in a command prompt at boot. The link in step 1 can help show you how to if needed.
Please be sure that you read all information in the steps to avoid messing up your PC.

As in Pressing F8 during system start up.....
Can you please tell me how to do that because in Step 1: the hidden user account is being used! and i am not able to login to that as i have already mentioned...
If there is something that i am missing please let me know.
Thanks

Step 1 where?
What were you wanting to do with the built-in Administrator? Perhaps there may be another way to do it.

the issue is some time back i was trying to get rid of my default Admin account, for which i created the Guest account and made it a Admin account by configuring the settings using netplwiz application. but in doing so i inadvertently made the Default Admin account as local..
Now i want to change my Default account to Admin account by using Netplwiz command within the Guest account(Admin) but it is not letting me do that!!!

With the state it is currently in, it may be best to reinstall Windows and start fresh.

hi,
I appreciate your time over this topic.
as i have upgraded to windows 8.1 and now as you are suggesting to format the windows... I just want to know that i had created the windows image before upgrading, so if i use that image would i lose all the new software i have installed?
And also i want to know is there any help topic which can guide me to do this and if possible the best way to keep the existing applications.
thanks and regards
Ekant

The image would return you to how your system was when created. Anything installed or saved after the image was created will be lost. You would want to back up anything that you do not want to lose to be safe.

Yeah i guessed so.
But can you tell me how to back up as i don't want to get into creating new image. Just want to create back for certain folders and applications.. Is that possible?
Thanks

Apps and programs would have to be reinstalled, but you could manually copy and paste folders to back them up if there's not to many.
