Can't get log in screen back

I have been using my win 8 computer for a few months without the log in screen. I did this by way of the netplwiz run command to the User Account dialogue box. I thought I would go back to using the log in screen, but when I got to the User Account dialogue box, the check box for "must sign in with password" was already checked. So now there doesn't seem to be a way to get the log in screen back.

Is there a way to get my lock screen/login screen back?

I disabled the Windows 8 Lock Screen by type “gpedit.msc” in the run box (win+r), then I navigated to the following location:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization. I then double-clicked on the policy called, “Do not display the lock screen.” Changed the option to “Enabled,” and then clicedk OK.

To reverse the process, Change the option to "disabled" in the final step.

If this is for a local account, does it have a password created for it?

Are you not getting a sign in screen after a restart, lock PC, resume from sleep/hibernate, etc...., or from all?
