Useless background infos:
A few weeks ago my boss wanted me to help him buy and configure a computer for his personnal friend. I did that and gave him the computer with a post-it containing the login and password in the zip lock bag containing the cables, mouse, documentation, etc. His friend ended up in hospital for a few weeks after a bad divorce and yesterday he got home and wanted to try his new computer but he said the password is not there. (I double checked it before putting everything into the box but...)
real problem and question:
I don't remember what that login password was. Is there a way to check what password is using the security email linked to that account? If I reset the password will that computer know that the password was changed (i guess i could use my phone to create an unprotected wifi that the computer could connect to before login) Is there a way to connect a windows 8 pc to a wifi without login in?
I don't own a windows 8 computer and we don't have any at work either and I'd like to be prepared if I have to go his place to fix it. (I hope I won't have to format or something...)
