Hello eight forums.

I've searched by the forum for a solution to make automatic log on on windows startup.
(like local account just as Microsoft account)

So I took the tutorial http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2894-log-user-account-automatically-windows-8-startup.html .

And after doing the steps, I'm having the setting set up for using automatic log on.

After re-log to windows it still asks me for a password...
So how i make it work to automatic log in without asking the password?

Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks for any help,
Max.

Hi Max,
You may not have pressed "Apply" button, just a guess.

Hello Max,

If you did click on OK or Apply to actually apply the setting, then check the box, click on apply, and set it again to see if it will work the second time. I've had this happen to be a few times.

If it still does not work, then double check the yellow Tip box at the bottom of the tutorial you posted to see if either may be the issue instead.

Thanks guys, the mistake was that i gave the account a password i though its the Microsoft password to confirm.
Thanks brink for moving my thread to the right place it should be ... new to eight forums. :D

When i restarted PC, on login it took sometime loading the account then it gave me an error that the password isn't right..(i didn't input password) then I figured out it create another local account Named Max and it doesn't recognized the null password i gave it?
So i logged in manually with my Microsoft account again with the regular password.
Thats not execly what i've expected.. I want the windows to log in with my Microsoft account without password at login, is that possible?

Max,

It sounds like you have entered an incorrect password for the selected account in netplwiz.

You'll need to start over by checking the box in netplwiz, apply, select the same account in your screenshot above, uncheck the box, click on OK, enter your Microsoft account's password, and click on OK. :)
