Enable the administrator account on Windows 8. After logging in with this account, you can change your regular account back to an administrator account..

i can only go to the command prompt.

To get administrator command prompt, put the cursor in the very bottom left corner of the screen & right click.
A menu will pop up with the administrator command prompt as an option.
    Click it.

Another way to get Administrator Command Prompt:

    Open Search from Charms Bar:

    Type in cmd:

Right click Command Prompt & click Run as Administrator:

    Good luck.

I'm not sure that (or the other option to get there from the Start Screen) will work.

When you run that option as a Standard user, you need to type in the password of one of the Administrator-level accounts on the PC.

However I think the issue here might be that there are no such accounts (unless the techniques to enable the hidden Administrator account can be made to work).

Edit: Although I did see mention of it asking for a password to the Administrator account - a screenshot of that message might be helpful.

Microsoft have presumably done a good job of stopping people logging in as Administrator unless they have the right account - which is a good thing - but it means that there may not be a way to hack in.

I'm less sure that Microsoft do a good job of warning people who are about to change the last Admin-level account on the computer to Standard!

The person should at least try one or both methods & post back with the results.
Until the OP tries we won't know for sure.
