Can't open using the Build-in Administrator Account

I only have one account on my computer, which appear to be "Build-in Administrator". I can do everything on my computer, but the only thing that I can't is open all the programs that It came by default when you install the Windows 8 Pro (messaging, music, new, photos, videos, weather, reader, skydive, sport, store, camera, travel, games and etc).
    Every time I tried to open one of them it says;

"Photos (or any) can't be opened using the Build-in Administrator Account. Sign in with a different account and try again"

Can any one please assist me with that?

    Greatly appreciate.

Hello Raphael, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Store apps in Windows 8 cannot run in an "elevated" environment such as while sign in to the built-in "elevated" Administrator account.

The only way around this would be to sign in to a normal Microsoft account.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with what an "elevated" platform means, can you please explain more about built-in "elevated" Administrator account?
Doesn't a Built-in Administrator account and Administrator account operate the same?
Do I need to have a User Account and Built-in Administrator Account, and then only use the User Account to open all of those programs?

Thanks for you patience and assistance,

    Raphael

No problem Raphael, the link in my post above can give you more details about this.

Basically, you don't want to use the built-in Administrator account for everyday usage since it's an elevated account that you will not be able to run any Store apps while signed in to.

An "elevated" account runs everything with administrator rights by default without getting an UAC prompt for permission first.

    Thanks for the tutorial link.

As I only have Built-in Administrator Account created on my computer at the moment; if I create an "unelevated" Administrator account would I be able to run everything on it? If so, how do I create an Administrator account please.
I'm the only person who uses this computer by the way.

I greatly appreciate your patience and assistance,

    Raphael

    You're most welcome Raphael.

The tutorial below can help show you how to create either a new "local account" (like in Windows 7) or a "Microsoft account" (uses email address). Afterwards, you would want to change it's account type to be an "administrator".
You will still be able to do what you want while signed in to a normal "unelevated" administrator account, but you would just be prompted by UAC to give permission for anything that requires elevated rights first.

    Thank you so much.

I have another question about my existing "built-in Administrator Account"; can I change or add (I don't know) an e-mail to it in order to "Sync your Setting" or is the only way, as you said, to create a User Account Control and then change to Administrator Account?

    Greatly appreciated

Sorry, but no. The built-in Administrator account can only remain a local account. It cannot be switched to a Microsoft account.

    Unsure Account

    Good evening,

I was renaming my UAC and I have this Account there that I am not sure about
    • UpdatusUser Properties
    • Description: Used to provide NVIDIA software updates

Is that something that I can delete or disable the account?

    Cheers,
