Unable to remove password requirement at Startup

My computer recently began requiring me to use password at startup. I had previously disabled.

I went to NETPLWIZ as suggested elsewhere (http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2894-log-user-account-automatically-windows-8-startup.html)

However, there is no box to uncheck that says "Users must enter username and password to use this computer." (see attachment)

What am I missing? I have also checked the Password Requirement on Wakeup in the Power settings and that shows "No" and the "Ctrl-Alt-Del" option is also not in place.

Is your PC on a domain?

If so, then this can only be done in Registry Editor using the method in the second post at the link below instead.

How can I tell if I am on a domain? As far as I know I am not.

The strange thing is that up until about a week ago I did not have to enter the password, and then one day I did.

If you don't know that you're on a domain, then most likely you are not. It's to connect to a corporate domain network.

Since this was working about a week ago, you might see if doing a system restore using a restore point (if available) dated when it was working may help.

Hello. I am new to this Forum, and this is my first post.

I, too, do not have the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" option.

How do I know if this computer (which I am using at home) is somehow possibly on a domain? If so, how can I undo this? Will this return the "Users must enter a username and password to use this computer" option to the dialog screen?
