    'baqhkcmvc local account' keeps appearing?

This account keeps on appearing on my New PC fresh out of the box. It is linked to a Norton program i removed.
Still have Norton remains on my PC and it is really starting to tick me off.

I have tried deleting the Norton registry but it wont delete. I have even tried deleting the dat file of the 'baqhkcmvc local account' linked to ' %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Norton Internet Security\Engine\\ccSvcHst.exe' but it still remains.

What the blue blazes is going on? With Vista and Win7 when i removed the bloat wear they never created accounts!

    Help please chaps.

Hello Rosebud, and welcome to Eight Forums.

If you have not already, you might see if using the Norton Removal Tool may help to clean up any remaining remnants. Afterwards, see if the baqhkcmvc account is still there or if you may be able to permanently delete it.

    Hope this helps for now,

Thank you for replying. I have tried the Norton removal tool but i think when i used uninstall program it broke any links for the Norton Removal tool to find, so it is not finding the Norton Program

I really do not want to have to put the computer back to factory settings in order to use the Norton Removal tool, but
it looks as though i will have too.

Is there an easier way around the problem ?

You could try reinstalling Norton, then use the Norton Removal Tool to see if it will work then.

DId a system restore to get Norton back on, used the Norton remover than used this method

How the $#@$# do I fully remove Norton from my PC? from Ask Dave Taylor!

To fully remove Norton. Norton says they leave files behind in case you wish to reinstall the software again (like hell)
    No more account popping back

Even with the Norton tool to remove it, it still runs in the pc and has access to the net, thats why i went full on with removing it. Hate spyware, which is what Norton does
