    All user folders have merged?

I was fiddling about with the location of my user files, to get them off of my SSD on to my hard drive, but some how I have managed to get them all to be merged.

All those types of files are in "C:/Users/myusername/Searches. When I try and change the location of that folder, to say My Documents, it stays as /Searches. This also makes it so my desktop has all of my user files on it.

While I'm here, is it possible for me to rename the account name folder?

    Hello Alfie,

If you are using a local account instead of a Microsoft account, then you might consider creating a new user account for yourself to use instead since you are also wanting to rename your "C:\Users\(user-name)" profile folder. This way it's folder will have the name you wanted.
Afterwards, I would recommend to NOT move the folders in your user folder. Instead, create folders where you want the files in them to be saved at, and add (include) those folders in your libraries.

When finished, you could just delete the old account while signed in your new administrator account.
    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I was thinking of doing this, and I did. I thought it would be much more of a hassle, but it was reasonably easy.

Thanks for convincing me, and thanks for your wonderful forum.

Questions re: User Accounts Folders in User Accounts and Family Safety
I've been putting off asking this. When people refer to going to folders like C:\users\"yourNameHere"\ for profiles etc, I don't have this luxury. In my User folder, the closest thing to "yourNameHere" (meaning my profile name) is Mcx1-ANT-PC (my computer is called ANT-PC) I installed like...

I had the idea of redirecting my User/Tom/Documents' folder to SkyDrive/Documents on both my desktop and laptop using the Properties/Location tab to keep everything in sync. Hi: No big deal, but worth fixing. Recently, I set up a test administrator account and a test standard user account. Having served their purposes, I deleted them--or so I thought. Now, when I go Computer > C: > Users, I still see both of the user folders. When I try to delete them, I am told...
